Patriot Academy prepares the students of today for the world of tomorrow. Our faculty makes this possible by fostering a love of learning in our students. It starts with a well-balanced curriculum. We make sure the class content fits both our learning objectives and the reality of our students' lives. Our teachers make class participation fun!

Jessica Howard - Kindergarten & 1st Grade
I grew up in Arizona where I attended Arizona State University and obtained a bachelors in Education in 2006. I have tuaght First & Fifth grades and Kindergarten. THis is my 4th year teaching with Patriot Academy and I love working with my Kindergarten students.
I grew up in Connecticut and moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University. I have lived all of my adult life in Arizona. I am married and have five children ranging in age from 10 to 22. I have been teaching at Patriot Academy for 6 years. Before teaching I worked in non-profit management and as a martial arts instructor. When not at school I enjoy running, karate and the outdoors. I was lucky to have some wonderful teachers and coaches as a child. They instilled in me a love of learning and especially a passion for reading. Favorite Quote: “The Way is in Training,” Miyamota Musashi.
I grew up in Northern Kentucky, but I have been in Arizona since 1980. I have two Bachelor’s Degrees and a Master’s Degree in School Administration. I began teaching and coaching at Corona Del Sol High School in 1985 and was a Band and Choir Director for 15 years. I have also coached Baseball, Basketball and Softball at the high school level. I have been a Principal for the past 16 years. In 2000, I met a group of teachers that were excited about developing the best type of school possible. Together we made lists of everything we believed represented the “best practices” in education. This was the beginning of Patriot Academy.
